Snooker Que and Aston Shintaro were quick to begin.
Ledgerwood Libby and Yellow And Black collided approaching the first turn. Destroy We Said and Wedding Or Baby collided approaching the first turn. Aston Shintaro and Snooker Que collided approaching the first turn. Snooker Que faltered on the first turn and lost ground. Ledgerwood Libby checked off Attitude approaching the home turn. Yellow And Black and Snooker Que collided approaching the home turn. Yellow And Black marred Snooker Que entering the home straight. Snooker Que visably eased in the home straight.
Yellow And Black underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Ward, the trainer of Yellow And Black regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Yellow And Black was charged with marring. Mr Ward pleaded guilty to the charge, Yellow And Black was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Snooker Que underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hindleg back muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Gore regarding the racing manners of Snooker Que in the home straight. After hearing evidence from Mr Gore, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
