Up There Red was slow to begin.
Glasgow Lass marred Show Me Heaven on the first turn and again on the home turn, checking President Peggy. Up There Red and True Country collided in the home straight.
Glasgow Lass underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Kevin Ward, the trainer of Glasgow Lass regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn and the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Glasgow Lass was charged with marring. Mr Ward pleaded guilty to the charge, Glasgow Lass was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
