Oddball Armo and Destroy We Said were slow to begin.
Delvecchio, Wood Burn and Play A Tune collided soon after the start. Oddball Armo, Destroy We Said and Patricia Mary collided on the first turn; checking Oddball Armo and Patricia Mary. Wood Burn, Play A Tune and Delvecchio collided on the home turn. Destroy We Said and Myola Frost collided on the home turn. Delvecchio, Wood Burn and Play A Tune collided approaching the winning post.
Patricia Mary underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right hindleg quadriceps, left hindleg thigh and right foreleg wrist injuries. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Destroy We Said - the winner of the event.
