Dr. Carmel - Late scratching at 12:30pm when Mr. William McMahon reported the greyhound to have an illness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Chatterbox Tilly was quick to begin. Annie Rose was slow to begin. Mr. Neo checked off Chatterbox Tilly on the first turn. Chatterbox Tilly and Mr. Neo collided several times approaching the second turn and on the second turn checking both greyhounds. Demolition checked off Zachary approaching the second turn. Zachary stumbled on the second turn. Zachary and Chatterbox Tilly collided approaching the home turn checking Chatterbox Tilly. Demolition and Mr. Neo collided on the home turn. Zachary and Mr. Neo collided entering the home straight.
Mr. Neo underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Stewards spoke to Ms. Jennifer Gill, handler of Zachary regarding the greyhound's aggressive behaviour in the catching pen. Stewards reminded Ms. Gill of her responsibilities and will monitor the greyhound's behaviour in the catching pen in future events.
