Don't Cry Wolf - New declared weight of 32.6kg last raced at 31.0kg.
Mirror Illusion was quick to begin.
Killshot and Quincee Bale collided soon after the start. Zipping Jazz and Killshot collided on the first turn checking Killshot; Killshot raced wide as a result. Don't Cry Wolf pulled up on the first turn and failed to complete the event. Killshot raced wide approaching the home turn. Zipping Jazz raced wide in the home straight.
Killshot underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have shin sorness to the left hindleg. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Representative, Mr David Knocker regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. After hearing evidence from Mr Knocker, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn.
Don't Cry Wolf underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr David McKenzie regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the first turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Don't Cry Wolf was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr McKenzie pleaded guilty to the charge, Don't Cry Wolf was found guilty and suspended for 3 months at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
