Total Babe was quick to begin. Confirm and Rahim Bale were slow to begin.
Morbius checked off Magic Mark in the back straight severely checking Magic Mark. Good Boy Colombo checked off Rahim Bale on the first turn. Rahim Bale and Rock It Jed collided approaching the home turn. Neo Cleo Us visibly eased on the home turn and collided with Morbius and Total Babe entering the home straight. Total Babe and Neo Cleo Us raced wide in the home straight.
Neo Cleo Us underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right carpal sprain and a right achilles tendon injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Neocleous, the Representative regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Neo Cleo Us was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Neocleous pleaded guilty to the charge, Neo Cleo Us was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
