Steward's Report
Mussa Jack was slow to begin.
Upton Street and Connor Man collided approaching the first turn. Earn The Blur, Retro Rocket and Trump's Bluff collided on the first turn. Just Augusta checked off Earn The Blur on the home turn. Upton Street crossed out in the home straight. Upton Street turned its head inwards and marred Trump's Bluff in the home straight.
Upton Street underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Thomas Collins, the Representative of Upton Street regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Upton Street was charged with marring. Mr Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, Upton Street was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Sedona - the winner of the event.
