Steward's Report
Black Belt Magic was slow to begin. Black Belt Magic and Battlers Three collided several times in the back straight. Mussa Jack galloped on Darnum Bolt approaching the home turn causing Darnum Bolt to collide with Chrome Cadillac. Darnum Bolt and Mussa Jack collided on the home turn. Battlers Three galloped on Darnum Bolt on the home turn causing Darnum Bolt to fall. Chrome Cadillac turned its head inward and marred Mussa Jack entering the home straight.
Darnum Bolt underwent a post race veterinary examination and was found to have an injured left biceps. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Ms L. Smith, trainer of Chrome Cadillac declined her option to have the greyhound vetted.
Stewards spoke to Ms. L. Smith, the trainer of Chrome Cadillac regatrding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Chrome Cadillac was charged with marring. Ms. Smith pleaded guilty to the charge, Chrome Cadillac was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
