Steward's Report
China Catch 'Em – Late scratching at 10:43 am under GAR 37(4) on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian after the greyhound was found to be infested with fleas. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate of clearance stating the condition no longer exists before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Out Of Aces.
Out Of Aces was slow to begin.
Wild Slammer and Fried White Bait collided soon after the start. Jack's Gone Wild and Lenny's Jagger collided on the first turn. Nitro Gee and Wild Slammer collided on the first turn. Super Rage checked off Wild Slammer on the first turn. Fried White Bait galloped on the heels of Wild Slammer approaching the home turn, severely checking Wild Slammer. Out Of Aces galloped on the heels of Super Rage approaching the home turn; checking both greyhounds. Out Of Aces and Nitro Gee collided on the home turn.
Wild Slammer underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a cervico-thoracic injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
