A pre-race sample was taken from Tinker To Burn.
Big Burner and Shivering Stone were slow to begin.
Cryptic Signal and Patricia Mary collided soon after the start. Big Burner checked off Go Wild Souvlaki approaching the first turn. Tinker To Burn and Patricia Mary collided several times on the first turn. Go Wild Souvlaki contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost considerable ground as a result. Patricia Mary checked off Tinker To Burn approaching the home turn. Tinker To Burn checked off Shivering Stone on the home turn. Lucky Yap checked off Cryptic Signal in the home straight.
Go Wild Souvlaki underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the left monkey muscle and right hamstring.. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
