Steward's Report
The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.
All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.
Always Cousins was quick to begin.
Princess Warrior, Saint Bogan and Yassie Belle collided soon after the start; checking Princess Warrior and Saint Bogan. Princess Warrior, Saint Bogan, Yassie Belle and Daph's Bella collided approaching the first turn; checking Princess Warrior and Saint Bogan. Yassie Belle checked off Daph's Bella approaching the home turn. Inga Meg lost ground entering the home straight.
Inga Meg underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg monkey muscle injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr P Inguanti, the handler of Inga Meg, regarding its performance in the home straight. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Inga Meg must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
