Steward's Report
Shanlyn Spot was slow to begin.
Verne Bale faltered approaching the first turn and subsequently tailed off. Shanlyn Spot checked off Marshall Dillon approaching the first turn. Kanga Lights and Swedish Duchess collided approaching the home turn checking Kanga Light, Swedish Duchess and Montaro. Swedish Duchess and Montaro collided approaching the winning post.
Verne Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle and right calf muscle injuries. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Kanga Lights underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a spike wound to the right wrist. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track approaching the first turn and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.
