Dundee Zircon - Late Scratching at 14.22 pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down was imposed. Trainer Mr. Geoff Scott-Smith was fined $100.

Aston Balade was quick to begin.  Knocka Out was slow to begin. 

Phaenon Bale and Mt. View Pearl collided soon after the start.  Knocka Out and Hurricane Miami collided on the first turn checking Knocka Out.  Knocka Out, Phaenon Bale and Mt. View Pearl collided approaching the home turn.  About Bob raced wide on the home turn.  Knocka Out and Mt. View Pearl collided entering the home straight.  About Bob raced wide in the home straight.

Ready To Slide, Malizia and Shrek's Storm were slow to begin.

Nathan Ryder and Captain Goldie collided soon after the start checking Nathan Ryder.  Aussie Onyx crossed in on the first turn checking Big Tango, Captain Goldie and Ready To Slide.  Nathan Ryder checked off Malizia approaching the home turn causing Nathan Ryder to check off Shrek's Storm and race wide as a result.

Spolly James and Shifty were quick to begin.

Parumba Rebel, Big Baccala, Floppy Roo and Hurricane Pete collided soon after the start.  Spolly James and Shifty collided on the first turn checking Lady Kin Lee and Spolly James.  Floppy Roo and Hurricane Pete collided on the first turn severely checking Hurricane Pete which faltered and lost ground.  Lady Kin Lee, Spolly James and Parumba Rebel collided on the home turn.  Floppy Roo raced wide on the home turn.  

Hurricane Pete underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Angel Eyes was quick to begin.  Boes High Five was very slow to begin (3 lengths).

Mt. View Dodger and Somerton Rose collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Boes High Five galloped on Hyena Queen approaching the first turn causing both greyhounds to lose considerable ground.  Dynamite Des tired over the concluding stages. 

Boes High Five underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a left calf injury.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Kingy Lights faltered approaching the first turn and subsequently tailed off.  Saint Wallace and Too Much Talking collided on the first turn.  Baby Pechey galloped on Saint Wallace on the home turn causing Saint Wallace to cross out.

Kingy Lights underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to a have a right triangle injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.  

Shanlyn Spot was slow to begin.

Verne Bale faltered approaching the first turn and subsequently tailed off.  Shanlyn Spot checked off Marshall Dillon approaching the first turn.  Kanga Lights and Swedish Duchess collided approaching the home turn checking Kanga Light, Swedish Duchess and Montaro.  Swedish Duchess and Montaro collided approaching the winning post.

Verne Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle and right calf muscle injuries.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Kanga Lights underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have a spike wound to the right wrist.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track approaching the first turn and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.

Baggy's Gold was slow to begin.

Natsu Bale, Bricabrac and Baggy's Gold collided soon after the start.  Hird From Bucks and Bricabrac collided on the first turn.  Baggy's Gold, Rock Me Xanthe and Brave Traveller collided on the home turn causing Brave Traveller to cross out.  Bricabrac, Rock Me Xanthe and Hird From Bucks raced wide in the home straight.

Rock Me Xanthe underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left shoulder injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to representative, Mr. David Crawford regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Rock Me Xanthe was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Crawford pleaded guilty to the charge, Rock Me Xanthe was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Texas Metal and Lucero collided approaching the first turn checking Texas Metal.  Coco Chum and Hurricane Miss collided on the first turn checking Coco Chum.  Electric Zulu checked off Coco Chum approaching the home turn checking Texas Metal.  Jet Burner and Hurricane Sue collided approaching the home turn.  Hurricane Sue checked off Jet Burner on the home turn checking Hurricane Miss and causing Hurricane Miss to race wide.  

Mt. View Jester and Love A Collision were slow to begin.

Sassy Galaxy crossed out approaching the first turn checking Blazin" Jewel.  Taciana checked off Blazin' Jewel entering the home straight.  Love A Collision raced wide in the home straight.  Mt. View Jester and Sassy Galaxy collided approaching the winning post.

Will's Bella underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to an incident in the catching pen and was found to have a left hock sprain.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Banjo Plato and Parumba Barcia were slow to begin.

Banjo Plato checked off Cosmic Roy soon after the start.  Big Plans and Cosmic Roy collided approaching the first turn.  Cosmic Roy checked off Big Plans on the first turn.  Parumba Barcia galloped Big Plans on the home turn severely checking Big Plans.  

Big Plans underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left hind leg.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
