Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from She's So Amazing.
Nimble Blaze and She's So Amazing were quick to begin. Aston Alexa and Meet Joe Black were slow to begin.
Nimble Blaze checked off She's So Amazing approaching the first turn. Unlawful Lad and She's So Amazing collided on the first turn. Meet Joe Black and Shim's Heart collided on the first turn. Moraine Izzy checked off the heels of Shim's Heart on the first turn. Shim's Heart, Overflow Love and Nimble Blaze collided heavily on the first turn; checking all three greyhounds. Unlawful Lad visably eased approaching the home turn. Meet Joe Black and Unlawful Lad collided approaching the winning post.
Unlawful Lad underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race five. Unlawful Lad was found to have a right hindleg triangle injury. A seven day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler, Mr B Bravo regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Unlawful Lad was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Bravo pleaded guilty to the charge, Unlawful Lad was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
