Steward's Report
Wolf Shadow, Yussuf Bale, Will Do and Flexing were quick to begin. Self Assured was slow to begin.
Fallen Petal and Self Assured collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Will Do checked off Flexing approaching the home turn. Yussuf Bale marred Flexing in the home straight. Yussuf Bale and Flexing collided approaching the winning post.
Yussuf Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration on the left foreleg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Daniel Gibbons regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Yussuf Bale was charged with marring. Mr Gibbons pleaded not guilty to the charge, Yussuf Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong only and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
