The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations

Lunar Star was quick to begin. Phaenon Bale, Swamp Donkey and Amelia Ella were slow to begin.

Amelia Ella checked off Ambitious on the first turn. Departure Gate and Ambitious collided approaching the home turn checking Departure Gate. Phaenon Bale and Amelia Ella collided several times in the home straight.

Phaenon Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right monkey muscle and right deltoid. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr. S. Coulson regarding the racing manners of Phaenon Bale in the home straight.  After hearing evidence from Mr. Coulson, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

Stewards spoke to handler Mr. V. Tullio regarding the bonafides surrounding the training and ownership of the greyhound Ambitious. After hearing submissions from Mr. Tullio, Stewards noted his explanation and took no further action. 

Master Febey – Late scratching at 2.12pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to a papilloma between the toes on the left fore.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed. 

Bean Blazer and Gypsy Warrior were quick to begin. Son Of Beanbag was slow to begin.

Gypsy Warrior checked off Bean Blazer on the first turn. Zander, Gypsy Warrior, Fire Witch and Cat Noir collided on the first turn checking Gypsy Warrior, Fire Witch, Cat Noir and Son Of Beanbag.

A post-race sample was taken from Langfield Bale - the winner of the event.

Lil Miss Shooter - Late scratching at 2.15pm by Order of Stewards after it was established that the incorrect greyhound had been presented. At a subsequent inquiry, Mr. M. Lloyd was issued a charge pursuant to GAR 31 for failing to present the correct greyhound to the Stewards for this event. Mr. Lloyd pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $200. The 28 day stand-down on Lil Miss Shooter was revoked.

Saint Mac was slow to begin.

Beanie Eyes, Starlight Amy and Venus Light collided soon after the start checking Beanie Eyes and Starlight Amy. Jax Star, Venus Light, Black Eyed Heart and Saint Mac collided on the first turn checking Venus Light, Black Eyed Heart and Saint Mac. Starlight Amy checked off Saint Mac on the first turn. Beanie Eyes and Starlight Amy collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Venus Light raced wide on the home turn.

Fireweed was quick to begin. Ollie was slow to begin. Awake Until Dawn went up with the lids at box rise and lost ground.

Destructive Riot and Tinker Calie collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Diesel Dust checked off Awake Until Dawn approaching the first turn. Lil Roughy, Destructive Riot, Tinker Calie and Ollie collided on the first turn checking Destructive Riot and Ollie severely checking Tinker Calie. Diesel Dust galloped on Lil Roughy on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Destructive Riot raced wide on the home turn. Lil Roughy and Destructive Riot raced wide in the home straight.

Tinker Calie underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Shivering Stone was slow to begin.

Just The Marjen checked off Agent Levi on the first turn. Elope To Paris checked off Smokey Renn on the first turn. Agent Levi, Toyed and Smokey Renn raced wide in the home straight.

According and Start A Riot were quick to begin.

Vixstar checked off According approaching the home turn.

Wolf Shadow, Yussuf Bale, Will Do and Flexing were quick to begin. Self Assured was slow to begin.

Fallen Petal and Self Assured collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Will Do checked off Flexing approaching the home turn. Yussuf Bale marred Flexing in the home straight. Yussuf Bale and Flexing collided approaching the winning post.

Yussuf Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration on the left foreleg. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Mr Daniel Gibbons regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Yussuf Bale was charged with marring. Mr Gibbons pleaded not guilty to the charge, Yussuf Bale was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong only and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

A sample was taken from Milly Mac upon arrival at the course.

Denise's Vision was quick to begin. Una Star and Mick's Kimmy were slow to begin.

Hillbilly Road and Debbie's Destiny collided in the front straight. Denise's Vision raced wide on the first turn checking Hillbilly Road and Debbie's Destiny. Blue Magic Opal and Milly Mac collided in the home straight.

Pronator – Late scratching at 2.02pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Riverdale Tommy was slow to begin.

Crypto Geek and Rizzo collided soon after the start checking Rizzo. Dinner Roll and Steampunk Tiger collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Rizzo and Steampunk Tiger collided approaching the first turn checking Steampunk Tiger. King Brown, Rizzo and Dinner Roll collided on the first turn checking Rizzo and Dinner Roll. King Brown, Blazing Lizzie and Crypto Geek collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Rizzo contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. Steampunk Tiger raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Star Night, Una's Boy and Blackpool Pantha collided on the first turn checking Una's Boy. My Mascara and Tinker Town collided on the first turn checking Tinker Town and Vegas Rules. Blackpool Pantha checked off Star Night on the first turn. Star Night checked off Tinker Town approaching the home turn.

Especial Envy and Easter Orchid collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds. Gotham Duchess and Maximum Jan collided soon after the start. Yaala Eclipse, Rotarua and Easter Orchid collided on the first turn checking Rotarua, Easter Orchid and Big Plans. Yaala Eclipse and Woke Up Late collided on the first turn checking Yaala Eclipse. Maximum Jan checked off Woke Up Late on the first turn checking Yaala Eclipse. Big Plans and Rotarua collided approaching the home turn.
