A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Lindop.
Eddie and Max Voltage were slow to begin. Ledgerwood Libby checked off Aston Lindop approaching the second turn checking Max Voltage. Eddie checked off Flying Unicorn on the second turn. Ledgerwood Libby attempted to race wide approaching the third turn and on the third turn causing Ledgerwood Libby and Max Voltage to collide, severely checking both greyhounds. Seven Enemies and Teddy Too collided approaching the third turn. Flying Unicorn and Teddy Too collided on the home turn. Ledgerwood Libby raced wide on the home turn. Seven Enemies, Flying Unicorn and Teddy Too collided in the home straight. Seven Enemies and Teddy Too collided approaching the winning post.
Max Voltage was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Ledgerwood Libby was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Mr Ashley Mcdowall regarding a racing incident on the third turn between Ledgerwood Libby and Max Dynamo. After reviewing all available footage of the incident, stewards were of the opinion this was caused due to Ledgerwood Libby racing wide, and both greyhounds were subsequently severely checked. Stewards took no action in relation to the incident.
