Brute and My Father's Son were slow to begin. Driftin' Away checked off Whodat Opal soon after the start. Brute, My Father's Son and Driftin' Away collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Driftin' Away. Brute and Driftin' Away collided on the first turn checking My Father's Son. Tekki Nibbles and Zipping Bram collided on the first turn. Brute and Driftin' Away collided in the front straight. Driftin' Away checked off Tekki Nibbles approaching the second turn. Brute checked off Tekki Nibbles on the second turn checking My Father's Son in turn severely checking Brute which stumbled as a result. Brute and My Father's Son collided several times approaching the third turn. Brute checked off My Father's Son in the back straight. Whodat Opal and Zipping Bram collided in the home straight.
