Steward's Report
Amelie Otis and Gamma Bale were quick to begin. Exclusively Mine and Slingshot Yang collided approaching the first turn. Tommy Cawbourne and Nanna Rose collided on the first turn checking Tommy Cawbourne. Amelie Otis and Nanna Rose collided on the first turn. Exclusively Mine and Gamma Bale collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight checking Gamma Bale. Prime Time marred Slingshot Yang entering the home straight and in the home straight checking Slingshot Yang and severely checking Amelie Otis which stumbled as a result. Nana Rose raced wide in the home straight.
Amelie Otis underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have spike wounds on the left and right forelegs. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Prime Time underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Mr Jihad Talgi, the trainer of Prime Time regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Prime Time was charged with marring. Mr Talgi pleaded guilty to the charge, Prime Time is suspended for 3 months at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
