Due to Government Social Distancing Laws under COVID-19 and acting in accordance with GAR 51 (10), the Stewards have directed that the boxing process in Victoria will revert to and continue under the 4-wave model being 1 & 5 boxed first, followed by 3 & 7, followed by 2 & 6, followed by 4 & 8.  Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times.

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face-masks/covers that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Ernie Prang was quick to begin.  Red Mahogany was slow to begin.  Buzz Out and Irwin Bale collided soon after the start.  Buzz Out, Virtual Flash and Red Mahogany collided soon after the start checking Virtual Flash and Red Mahogany.  Irwin Bale galloped on the heels of Wolfsbane Potion on the first turn checking Irwin Bale.

Riverdale Tommy went up with the lids at box rise and lost ground as a result.  Zombie Hunter and Awake Until Dawn collided soon after the start checking Awake Until Dawn.

Tinker Scott was quick to begin.  Rich Con and Aussie Built collided soon after the start.  Blackpool Storm checked off Tinker Scott on the first turn.

Nadia Bale was quick to begin.  Hey There Robbo and What Feeling were slow to begin. Lily Leopard crossed wide approaching the first turn and lost ground.  Tinker Caylee and Nadia Bale collided entering the home straight. Tinker Caylee marred Nadia Bale in the home straight checking both greyhounds.  Tinker Caylee turned its head outwards approaching the winning post.

Tinker Caylee was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr R. Fisher regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Tinker Caylee was charged with marring. Mr Fisher pleaded guilty to the charge, Tinker Caylee is suspended for 28 days at Geelong only and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards also spoke to Mr Fisher and issued a warning regarding Tinker Caylee's racing manners approaching the first turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Ancho Poblano.

Madam Malkin, Cloudy Diamond and Helena Ravenclaw were quick to begin.  Ancho Poblano and Crackerjack Nash were slow to begin.  Cloudy Diamond and Madam Malkin collided approaching the first turn checking Madam Malkin and Shivering Stone.  Ancho Poblano, Cloudy Diamond and Mahogany Queen collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Shivering Stone, Madam Malkin and Crackerjack Nash collided on the first turn checking Shivering Stone and Madam Malkin.

Silver Destroyer and Magic Panther were quick to begin.  Blackpool Astro and Blackpool Marvel collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Aston Jansz, Blackpool Astro and Natsu Bale collided on the first turn checking Blackpool Astro.  Magic Panther galloped on the heels of Silver Destroyer on the home turn.

Silver Destroyer was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right hind toe, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Fawkner Park, Blackpool Holly and Jitterbug Witch were quick to begin.  Riverdale Bear checked off Diorite Fire soon after the start.  Blackpool Holly and Jitterbug Witch collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Diorite Fire and Zipping Navy collided on the first turn.  Riverdale Bear checked off Zipping Navy approaching the home turn.

Graphic Print was quick to begin.  Umar Allen and Tuesday's Grace collided on the first turn checking Tuesday's Grace and Kurri Kurri.

Big Buck and Aston Ariana were quick to begin.  Cool Story Bro and Riverdale Bluey collided soon after the start checking Riverdale Bluey.  Aston Ariana galloped on Sachi Girl on the first turn.  Cool Story Bro galloped on Aston Ariana on the home turn.  Cool Story Bro and Big Buck collided entering the home straight.

Steampunk Tiger was quick to begin.  Brute went up with the lids and lost ground.  Blue Magic Opal and Blue Bonnet collided soon after the start.  Brute and Riverdale Shine collided on the first turn.  Brute checked off Blue Bonnet on the first turn checking Brute and Riverdale Shine.  Blue Bonnet checked off Limburg Special approaching the winning post.

Ashby Nimble, Hungry Eyes and Grumpy Derek collided soon after the start.  Hungry Eyes and Grumpy Derek collided on the first turn checking Hungry Eyes, Ashby Nimble and Pranjip Comet, severely checking Grumpy Derek which fell.

Grumpy Derek was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right wrist, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
