Steward's Report
All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race day functions of boxing and catching greyhounds.
Devon Lass and Wheelin' In were slow to begin.
Zipping Celeste, Dr. Wade and Nova's Way collided soon after the start checking Dr. Wade. Nova's Way and Aston Dimple collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Dr. Wade galloped on Zipping Celeste on the first turn checking Dr. Wade, Zipping Celeste, Aston Kayee and Wheelin' In. Nova's Way checked off Aston Dimple approaching the home turn. Zipping Celeste and Devon Lass collided in the home straight.
Zipping Celeste underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury and abrasion to the left calf muscle. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
