Steward's Report
Canny Lass, Lamia Fawn and George Jetson were quick to begin. Black Tuxedo and Bay Tudor were slow to begin.
George Jetson (failed to pursue the lure with due commitment turning out of front straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right calf injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to representative Ms Kelleigh Smith regarding the greyhound’s racing manners turning out of the front straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, George Jetson was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms Smith pleaded not guilty to the charge. George Jetson was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at The Meadows only and must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
