Kinloch Geek was slow to begin.

Mechanics Kismet, Cosmic Empress and Crymelon Libby collided approaching the first turn; checking Mechanics Kismet and Cosmic Empress.  Giovanni and She's Forever collided on the first turn; checking both greyhounds.  Giovanni raced wide entering the home straight and in the home straight.

Prior to All Clear, Stewards confirmed the placings for 4th and 5th with the TAB, after the TAB inadvertently posted Giovanni (4) as running 4th rather than Crymelon Ruby (5).  The All Clear was subsequently given on the Judge's numbers 8, 1, 7 and 5. 

Postman Pete and Crymelon Quick were slow to begin.

Crymelon Tactile and Defy The Critics collided soon after the start, checking Crymelon Tactile.  Quinnlee Giblet checked off Texan Galore on the first turn, checking Crymelon Quick.  Postman Pete and Texan Galore collided approaching the home turn.  Texan Galore raced wide on the home turn.  Crymelon Quick raced wide entering the home straight and in the home straight.

Mr Greg Turnbull failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Albuquerque for racing.  A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 46 (2).

Tiggerlong Red and Hypo Harry collided soon after the start severely checking Tiggerlong Red. Rahim Bale and Rockin' Diamonds collided on the first turn, checking Rockin' Diamonds.  Spring Candice and Cashton Bale collided on the home turn; checking both greyhounds.  Sparkle Debacle galloped on the heels of Lektra Scooter on the home turn; checking both greyhounds.

Tiggerlong Red underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be displaying clinical signs of thumps.  No stand down period was imposed.

Argyle Audrey – New declared weight of 28.8 kg, last raced at 30.3 kg.

Two Mac's Bang was very slow to begin (3L).

Ninja Girl Mia and Star Shooter collided soon after the start; checking both greyhounds.  Invictus Caleb and Flash Angel collided approaching the first turn, checking Flash Angel.  Merry Lass and Crazy Old Fool collided on the first turn; checking both greyhounds.  Star Shooter and Crazy Old Fool collided entering the home straight.  Flash Angel, Star Shooter and Crazy Old Fool collided in the home straight; checking Star Shooter and Crazy Old Fool.

Lektra Jena was quick to begin.

Betatron and Balbina Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Zipping Higgins and Tango Icon collided approaching the home turn.  Zipping Higgins and Betatron collided on the home turn.  Betatron raced wide on the home turn.

Zipping Higgins underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hindleg back muscle injury.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Jaggered and Super Big collided soon after the start, checking Jaggered.  Jaggered, Super Big and Crackerjack Lach collided on the first turn; checking Jaggered and Super Big.  Jaggered raced wide in the home straight.

Ten's Enough, Barefoot Barry, Lady Fernando and Brain Wave collided soon after the start; checking Lady Fernando and Brain Wave.  Barefoot Barry and Ollie collided on the first turn, checking Ollie.  Barefoot Barry and Oamaru Bale collided on the home turn.  Circumstance and Oamaru Bale collided in the home straight.

Ten's Enough underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to an incident in the catching pen.  No stand down period was imposed.

Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track in the vicinity of the home turn due to a single light being out.  Stewards also spoke to the lure driver prior to this event who was satisfied that this would have no bearing with the positioning of the lure.  As a result, Stewards were satisfied the track was satisfactory for racing. 

Manila Dusk – New declared weight of 32.5 kg, last raced at 31.4 kg.

Big Brew and Singing Flame were slow to begin.

Autumn Doll and Moriah Bale collided on the first turn; severely checking Big Brew and Autumn Doll, which collided with Singing Flame and Plain Name; causing Big Brew to fall and Autumn Doll tailed off.  Huntly Flyer and Moriah Bale collided approaching the winning post.

Big Brew underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Mepunga Allie was quick to begin.
