A pre-race sample was taken from Plausible Dream.
Pat My Lass was quick to begin. Sadiki Bale was slow to begin.
Junior and Tinker Mighty collided soon after the start. Miss Cosmic Lee and I'm A Soldier collided approaching the first turn. Junior and Tinker Mighty collided approaching the first turn, checking Tinker Mighty. Tinker Mighty checked off Very Elegant on the first turn. I'm A Soldier, Miss Cosmic Lee, Very Elegant and Junior collided on the first turn, checking Junior, Very Elegant and Miss Cosmic Lee. Miss Cosmic Lee galloped on the heels of Pat My Lass on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Pat My Lass and I'm A Soldier collided approaching the home turn. Junior galloped on the heels of Miss Cosmic Lee entering the home straight. Miss Cosmic Lee and Junior collided approaching the winning post. Tinker Mighty faltered approaching the winning post.
Tinker Mighty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. M. Bewley regarding the greyhound sustaining injuries in its last three races. Mr. Bewley was advised that Tinker Mighty must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
