Barefoot Tycoon – In accordance with GAR 73, presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling.  Barefoot Tycoon was examined by the on-track veterinarian and found to be free from injury and therefore cleared to race. 

Ulyana Bale was slow to begin.

Ranako Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.

Loretta Bale was quick to begin.   Burning Up was slow to begin. 

Waldemar Bale, Crowdza Smiling and Tybalt Balt collided in the back straight, checking Crowdza Smiling and Tybalt Bale.  Crackerjack Keg visibly eased on the first turn.  Tybalt Bale and Burning Up collided on the first turn.  Waldemar Bale and Nicky Mustang collided on the first turn, checking Nicky Mustang. 

Crackerjack Keg underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-vetted following race four - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Clifford Smith regarding the greyhound’s racing manner on the first turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Crackerjack Keg was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Smith pleaded not guilty to the charge. Crackerjack Keg was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Geelong only and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A (2) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Nana Judy and Tynslee Bale were quick to begin. 

Flying Surprise, Weblec Thunder and Kenji Bale collided soon after the start.  Flying Surprise and Roxy Ouzo collided in the back straight, checking Roxy Ouzo.  Roxy Ouzo brushed the running rail approaching the first turn and lost ground.  Flying Suprise and Weblec Thunder collided approaching the first turn.  Nana Judy, Weblec Thunder and Flying Suprise collided on the first turn, checking Weblec Thunder and Flying Suprise.

Trending Air was quick to begin.  Wedding Or Baby and She Can Excite were slow to begin. 

Mr. Buck Lee, Ten's Enough, Daph's Extreme and Neangar Boy collided soon after the start, checking Mr. Buck Lee, Ten's Enough and Daph's Extreme.  Mr. Buck Lee checked off Ten's Enough approaching the first turn.  Ten's Enough checked off She Can Excite on the first turn.  Neangar Boy and Auspicious Queen collided on the first turn, checking Neangar Boy, Auspicious Queen and She Can Excite.  Mr. Buck Lee and Daph's Extreme collided approaching the home turn, checking Daph's Extreme.

Tinker Mighty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr. M. Bewley regarding the greyhound sustaining injuries in its last three races. Mr. Bewley was advised that Tinker Mighty must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
