There was no head-on vision available for this event.
Robin's Choice and Molly Tessa were quick to begin.
Zen Ablaze, Brain Wave and Amelie Otis collided soon after the start. Hungry Eyes and Molly Tessa collided approaching the first turn. Zen Ablaze and Amelie Otis collided approaching the first turn. Zen Ablaze, Amelie Otis and Joffa's Impala collided on the first turn; causing Joffa's Impala to stumble and pull up; resulting in Zen Ablaze and Amelie Otis falling.
Zen Ablaze underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg radius/ulna fracture injury. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.
Amelie Otis underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Joffa's Impala underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left foreleg flexor tendon injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track on the first turn and were satisfied it was satisfactory for racing.
