Coconino was quick to begin. Mt. View Entry, Banjo Jax and Classy Edition were slow to begin. Miss Coby Moss checked off Duck Duck Dash soon after the start. Miss Coby Moss crossed to the inside and brushed the running rail approaching the first turn, checking Banjo Jax. Banjo Jax checked off Classy Edition approaching the first turn. Mt. View Entry checked off Banjo Jax on the first turn. Duck Duck Dash checked off Coconino on the first turn. Mt. View Entry checked off Banjo Jax approaching the home turn.

Miss Coby Moss underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abrasions to both hind paws and a spike wound to the left hock. No stand down period was imposed.
