A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Jansz.
Send It Socks was quick to begin. Riverdale Bear was slow to begin. Aston Jansz faltered soon after the start and tailed off. Clark Road and Mt. View Emma collided approaching the first turn; checking Mt. View Emma and Una's Boy.
Aston Jansz underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right foreleg monkey muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Clark Road underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Send It Socks – Stewards were satisfied with the boxing of the greyhound and removed the boxed first endorsement for future events in accordance with GAR 52.
