Steward's Report
Wolf Shadow and Wow Anna were quick to begin. Balt's Fantasy went up with the lids. Wow Anna checked off Balt's Fantasy approaching the home turn. Wow Anna turned its head out in the home straight and collided with Balt's Fantasy.
Wow Anna underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left hindleg shin soreness and spike wound injuries, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to owner, Mr C Davis regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Wow Anna was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Davis pleaded guilty to the charge, Wow Anna was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
