All staff and participants attending the race meeting wore face masks at all times when inside the kennel block and associated buildings, and when engaged in the exclusive race-day functions of handling, boxing, starting and catching greyhounds.

Invictus Kelly stumbled at box rise and was very slow to begin - 4 lengths. Thursday Knight was quick to begin. Five Star and Starlight Amy were slow to begin.

Carla Veloso and Affair Bit collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Trish and Starlight Amy collided approaching the second turn. Showtime Boomer checked off Carla Veloso approaching the second turn causing Five Star, Affair Bit and Starlight Amy to race wide. Five Star checked off Showtime Boomer on the second turn. 

Following the event Thursday Knight underwent a post-race veterinary examination due to having a seizure in the catching pen. The greyhound was found to have suffered from suspected anoxia (lack of oxygen). No stand down penalty was imposed by the On Track Vet. Acting in accordance with GAR 74 Thursday Knight must perform a Satisfactory Trial pursuant to GAR 72 and connections must furnish a veterinary clearance to GRV before any future nomination will be accepted.

Night To Burn and Black Gemstone collided approaching the first turn. Smithy Keeping, Black Avenger, Amelia Ella and Aston Adonis collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Norman and Smithy Keeping collided on the first turn. Black Avenger checked off Trendy Universe on the first turn causing Black Avenger and Amelia Ella to race wide. Zipping Norman, Black Gemstone, Smithy Keeping and Night To Burn collided approaching the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Black Avenger and Amelia Ella collided approaching the second turn. Smithy Keeping and Black Gemstone collided entering the back straight. Black Gemstone, Smithy Keeping and Black Avenger collided in the back straight.

Stewards noted that the greyhound Fire And Fury changed trainer from Mr Jason Thompson to Mr Andrew Xerri on 09.01.2021. Trainer may be incorrect in some publications.

Barooga Smoke - Late scratching at 6.07pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to an elevated temperature.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Shy But Savage, Ingenuity, California Gold and Fire And Fury collided soon after the start checking Well Grounded. Shy But Savage, Ingenuity, California Gold and Fire And Fury collided approaching the first turn checking California Gold. Ingenuity and Dark Compass collided approaching the first turn checking California Gold. California Gold brushed the running rail approaching the second turn. Well Grounded and Ingenuity colldied on the second turn. Well Grounded and Shy But Savage collided in the home straight.

Drumroll Please was quick to begin. My Father's Son and It's A Shadow were slow to begin.

My Father's Son checked off Bobby The Brute approaching the first turn. Drumroll Please, Weblec Ace, Squiggle Keeping, It's My Party and Aston Cade collided on the first turn checking all five greyhounds causing Aston Cade and It's A Shadow to race wide as a result. My Father's Son and It's My Party collided entering the front straight. Drumroll Please raced wide on the third turn and commenced to lose ground. My Father's Son and Squiggle Keeping collided on the home turn.

Drumroll Please underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 8 - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to representative Mr J Sharp regarding the performance of Drumroll Please in the event. After considering evidence from Mr J Sharp, viewing all the available race footage and acting on their observations, Stewards took no further action.

Kenny The Brute began awkwardly. Elsa Rose was quick to begin.

Weblec Diamond and Aston Kipchoge collided soon after the start. Sparky Girl, Aston Kipchoge and Mepunga Missile collided on the first turn. Aston Kipchoge and Kenny The Brute collided on the second turn. Sweet Demi visibly eased and turned its head outwards on the third turn towards Elsa Rose causing: Sweet Demi, Elsa Rose and Weblec Diamond to collide. Caveman Yap checked off Weblec Diamond on the third turn checking Aston Kipchoge. Sweet Demi and Elsa Rose collided approaching the home turn checking Elsa Rose.

Sweet Demi underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right calf muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to owner Ms J Gill regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the third turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Sweet Demi was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Gill pleaded guilty to the charge, Sweet Demi was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial  in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
