Steward's Report
Kenny The Brute began awkwardly. Elsa Rose was quick to begin.
Weblec Diamond and Aston Kipchoge collided soon after the start. Sparky Girl, Aston Kipchoge and Mepunga Missile collided on the first turn. Aston Kipchoge and Kenny The Brute collided on the second turn. Sweet Demi visibly eased and turned its head outwards on the third turn towards Elsa Rose causing: Sweet Demi, Elsa Rose and Weblec Diamond to collide. Caveman Yap checked off Weblec Diamond on the third turn checking Aston Kipchoge. Sweet Demi and Elsa Rose collided approaching the home turn checking Elsa Rose.
Sweet Demi underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right calf muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to owner Ms J Gill regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the third turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Sweet Demi was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Gill pleaded guilty to the charge, Sweet Demi was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
