Steward's Report
Stewards attended the kennels of trainer Mrs. A. Dailly, together with veterinarian Dr. C. Finlayson, and confirmed that Speed Star had sustained an injury to the left achilles tendon. Stewards opened an inquiry with kennel representative Mr. T. Dailly regarding the scratching of Speed Star from this event. Mr. Dailly advised Stewards that the greyhound races well at Geelong, and added that the run over 311m at Cranbourne on 14/4/21 would have been a good lead up to tonight’s event if Speed Star had not sustained the tendon injury. The inquiry was adjourned to enable Stewards to review the evidence provided and wagering on this event. Following the wagering analysis no further action was taken other than to note the circumstances.

Carry On Angel and Lots Of Chatter collided soon after the start and again on the first turn. Aces Are Trumps checked off Lots Of Chatter on the first turn. Carry On Angel, Lots Of Chatter and Devel Sixteen collided approaching the second turn. Aces Are Trumps checked off Devel Sixteen approaching the second turn causing Aces Are Trumps and Do It to race wide. Barooga Smoke and Lots Of Chatter collided on the second turn. Barooga Smoke checked off Carry On Angel on the third turn.
Post-race samples were taken from Carry On Angel (1st), Barooga Smoke (2nd).
