Steward's Report
Winsome Fernando - Late scratching at 17:38pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to pyrexia and dehydration. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke with trainer Ms Cassendra Jayakody with regard to the circumstances surrounding the late scratching of the greyhound, noted the trainers advice and further ordered a veterinary certificate of fitness pursuant to GAR 20 (3) (v) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Last Hurrah, Spring Hummer and Tinker Craig were quick to begin. How Not Too was slow to begin.
Last Hurrah checked off the heels of Aston Maeve on the first turn checking How Not Too. Ulricken Bale galloped on the heels of Aston Maeve on the first turn; both greyhounds stumbled and lost ground. Last Hurrah and Aston Maeve collided approaching the home turn.
