Giant's Flash underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have no apparent injury.  Mr R Clark declined the option to have the greyhound re-vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr R Clark, the trainer of Giant's Flash, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the winning post.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Giant's Flash was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr Clark pleaded guilty to the charge, Giant's Flash was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

When questioned trainer, Mr J Guy who had two runners engaged in this event - Brazen Crow (box 1) and Fugacious (box 2), stated to Stewards that he scratched Brazen Crow on 19 December 2020 after the greyhound was suffering from a right hock injury, which he believes the greyhound sustained at its most recent start at Bendigo on 18 December 2020.
