A sample was taken from Carry On Star at the trainer’s kennel earlier today.
A sample was taken from Mepunga Isla upon arrival at the course.
Do It was slow to begin.
Christo Bale, Mepunga Isla and Zipping Sullivan collided soon after checking Mepunga Isla. Mepunga Isla and Do It collided in the front straight checking both greyhounds. Dr. Tucker, Carry On Star, Providence Bale and Zipping Sullivan collided on the first turn checking Dr. Tucker and Carry On Star. Mepunga Isla checked off Music Event approaching the second turn. Music Event checked off Do It on the second turn. Carry On Star and Christo Bale collided on the home turn. Mepunga Isla and Carry On Star collided entering the home straight. Do It checked off Zipping Sullivan entering the home straight.
Dr. Tucker underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following race 12. Dr. Tucker was found to have a right front toe injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Zipping Sullivan - winner of the event.
