The traditional 2-wave (odds then evens) boxing process has been re-instated for all races in Victoria from Tuesday 10 November 2020. Handlers are required to exit the area after boxing and maintain their 1.5m distance from other handlers and staff at all times. 

All persons (both Staff & Participants) attending today, undertook successful health screenings and wore face masks that in-turn, permitted entry to the venue for exclusive race-day functions and operations.

Mr. Speaker was slow to begin.

Off It's Chops and Beep Test Baron collided soon after the start checking Off It's Chops. Mepunga Warrior and Master Febey collided in the front straight. Tears I'm Here and Mepunga Warrior collided approaching the first turn. Aston Lavina and Sunnyside Pride collided on the first turn. Master Febey and Mr. Speaker collided on the first turn. Off It's Chops raced wide on the first turn. Master Febey checked off Mr. Speaker approaching the second turn checking Tear's I'm Here and Off It's Chops. Beep Test Baron checked off Aston Lavina on the second turn. Aston Lavina and Sunnyside Pride collided on the second turn and again several times in the back straight. Tears I'm Here, Master Febey, Mepunga Warrior and Off It's Chops collided on the second turn checking Tears I'm Here and Master Fenbey causing Tears I'm Here and Master Febey to lose ground.  Beep Test Baron checked off Sunnyside Pride from approaching the third turn to the home turn.  Beep Test Baron brushed the running rail entering the home straight. Sunnyside Pride turned its head inwards and visibly eased in the home straight.

Sunnyside Pride underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound on the left hind foot. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr David Geall, Trainer regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69B (1), Sunnyside Pride was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Geall pleaded guilty to the charge, Sunnyside Pride was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69B (1) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Migration was quick to begin. Fabroni Bale and Broken Boots were slow to begin.

Fabroni Bale and Broken Boots collided soon after the start. Fabroni Bale checked off Broken Boots in the front straight. Neangar Boy checked off Westar Misty in the front straight. Broken Boots contacted the running rail approaching the first turn.

Broken Boots underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right hind hock. No stand down period was imposed.

Stay Focused - Late scratching at 7.35am when Ms Samantha Hooke reported the greyhound to have an injury to the pencil muscle (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 20(3)(v) before any future nomination will be accepted. 

I'm A Lawyer and Bye The Way were quick to begin. 

Tears No More and Invincible Sight collided on the first turn. Monument Valley raced wide on the first turn. Bye The Way and Tumbarumba Time collided on the second turn. Tumbarumba Time marred Bye The Way approaching the third turn and again in the back straight checking Bye The Way, causing both greyhounds to tail off.

Tumbarumba Time underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.  Stewards spoke to Ms Martina Kirillidis, the representative of Tumbarumba Time regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the third turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Tumbarumba Time was charged with marring. Ms Kirillidis pleaded guilty to the charge, Tumbarumba Time was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at the Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Marshall Dillon was quick to begin. Raja Bale, Tanner Max and White Assassin were slow to begin. 

Tanner Max checked off Chatterbox Tilly soon after the start. Raja Bale and Tanner Max collided in the front straight. Aston Adonis and Marshall Dillon collided approaching the first turn. Raja Bale, Marshall Dillon, White Assassin and Tanner Max collided approaching the first turn checking Tanner Max. Flying Lantern, Unbeknownst and Chatterbox Tilly collided on the first turn. Flying Lantern and Unbeknownst collided on the second turn checking Unbeknownst. White Assassin checked off Chatterbox Tilly in the back straight. Chatterbox Tilly checked off Marshall Dillon approaching the third turn. Tanner Max checked off White Assassin on the third turn. Parumba Barty underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the Trainer's request and was found to have a laceration to its gum. No stand down period was imposed.

Bowled Underarm, Ishmy Neecy and Moon Flower were quick to begin. 

Stareena and Blazing Fury collided soon after the start. Bird House Brown and Stareena raced wide on the first turn. Bird House Brown faltered on the first turn and pulled up as a result.

Bird House Brown underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a fractured right tarsal. A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Liverpool Flyer and Aston Genesis collided soon after the start.
