Inter Vince and Daph's Wally collided approaching the first turn. Pat's Me Mum and Baileys And Milk collided on the first turn, again on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Inter Vince and Baileys And Milk collided entering the home straight. Joe Baker marred Inter Vince in the home straight. Ruby Arizona, Gordelle Bale and Supercross collided in the home straight checking Gordelle Bale.
Joe Baker underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Kevin Breen, the Trainer of Joe Baker regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Joe Baker was charged with marring. Mr. Breen pleaded guilty to the charge, Joe Baker was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69(2) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
