Cool Story Bro, Midnight Bling and La Senorita Roja collided approaching the first turn severely checking La Senorita Roja which stumbled and tailed off as a result. Uringa faltered on the first turn and subsequently tailed off. King Brown Trav checked off Cool Story Bro approaching the home turn.
La Senorita Roja underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Uringa underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Nathan Hunt, the representative of Uringa and acting in accordance with GAR 20(3)(v), ordered that a veterinary certificate of clearance must be produced for the greyhound before any future nomination will be accepted
Stewards spoke to the Parade Steward and remined him of his responsibilities after he presented the greyhounds at the boxes for this event four minutes prior the advertised starting time.
