Speed Chill crossed to the rails soon after the start checking Vapourette, Where's Neo, Valeria Bale, Bernmar Princess, Spoken Jibe, Dewana Cheque and Talk And Run. Bernmar Princess checked off Talk And Run entering the back straight checking Where's Neo and Vapourette. Spoken Jibe, Dewana Cheque and Talk And Run collided approaching the second turn checking Spoken Jibe.Talk And Run checked off Valeria Bale on the second turn. Dewana Cheque and Valeria Bale collided in the home straight checking Talk And Run. Vapourette eased in the home straight. Stewards spoke to T. Sharp the trainer of the greyhound Vapourette. Vapourette was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right quadriceps, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Vapourette with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all Tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(!)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
Spoken Jibe was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right hind webbing, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
