There was a slight delay to the start of the event due to a problem with the taping on a greyhound which required the attendance of the vet.
Yap Yap Galo and Eumeralla Danny collided soon after the start checking Yap Yap Galo. Ultimate Midori checked off Just Dee Patient approaching the first turn. Just Dee Patient checked off Miss Predator approaching the first turn severely checking Benaroon Girl. Eumeralla Danny and Just Dee Patient collided on the home turn and again in the home straight. Gran Perro and Ultimate Midori collided in the home straight. Yap Yap Galo and Benaroon Girl raced wide in the home straight.
Yap Yap Galo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both quadriceps and the left tricep, a stand down period of 21 days was imposed.
