Chardonnay was slow to begin.
Chardonnay and Chocolate Frog collided soon after the start. Mighty Mullet crossed to the rails soon after the start checking Buckle Up Myke, Shiraz Reef, Black Fleet and Premier Porscha. Premier Porscha checked off Chardonnay on the first turn. Tarks Legend, Buckle Up Myke and Premier Porscha collided approaching the home turn. Black Fleet and Shiraz Reef collided in the home straight. Buckle Up Myke and Tarks Legend collided in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to N. Perkins trainer regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Chardonnay. Stewards directed that Chardonnay be boxed first in future events.
