Phebu and Alvin Street were slow to begin.
Brandeen Ed and Flywheel Special collided approaching the first turn. Phebu checked off Longwarry Lass approaching the home turn. Phebu contacted the running rail on the first turn and lost ground as a result. Brandeen Ed and Chechezz collided approaching the home turn checking Brandeen Ed. Flywheel Special checked off Kallara Tipene in the home straight.
Phebu was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both triceps and the left quadriceps, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
