Conclusion of Stewards Inquiry from Traralgon Greyhound Racing Club meeting - Monday 21 April 2014 -Race 4  Grade 5

Stewards this evening concluded an inquiry in the circumstances surrounding the non presentation of the greyhound Noaki Swallow at the Traralgon meeting. Evidence was taken via telephone from the trainer Mr Martin Baldock who was unable to attend due to work commitments. After hearing Mr Martin Baldock's explanation and taking into consideration the evidence previously taken from Mr William Baldock the owner of the greyhound Noaki Swallow at Traralgon on the day of the meeting, Stewards Charged Mr Martin Baldock under GAR 86(o) in that he negligently failed to ensure the greyhound Noaki Swallow was presented to race at Traralgon GRC meeting on 21/4/2014. Mr M Baldock pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the sum of $250.00.   

Supplementry Report Sale 20 April 2014 Race 12:

Betty Armagh was vetted at tonights meeting, it was reported the greyhound sustained a right triangle muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Trainer Mr Peter Mullen was issued with a warning in relation to leaving the course without first gaining Stewards Permission.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Travlouliza and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6:10pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer C. Morris was fined the sum of $100.

Arvo's Maya and Sick Money were slow to begin. Cool And Amazing galloped on the heels of Tequila's Hope on the first turn checking Secret Marjen and severely checking Secret Marjen and Tequila's Hope causing Secret Marjen and Sick Money to race wide.

Puzzle And Me and Twisted Whiskers were slow to begin. On Flyer galloped on Black Arora on the first turn causing Black Arora to fall and severely checking Teena's Wrench and On Flyer. Puzzle And Me raced wide on the first turn casuing Twisted Whiskers to raced wide. Champagne Belle checked off Who Not Diamond approaching the home turn.

Black Arora was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left shoulder injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Cool Rod and Cathy's Queen were quick to begin. Osiris and Dublin Dee collided approaching the first turn. Patchiara checked off Miss Lorena on the first turn.

Lovely Nigella was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left metatarsal injury; a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Dipsy Daisy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey injury; a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Patchiara was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hind toe injury and a left monkey muscle injury; a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the trainer Of Patchiara Mr Shane Jack reagrding the greyhounds racing manner over the concluding stages of this event, after taking into consideration the greyound was having its first race start and the injuries sustained during the event Stewards deemed the performance of Patchiara unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Patchiara must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Where's Wallace was quick to begin. Lizzy Starlight, Our Black Gem and Black Barbide were slow to begin. Uncle More and Black Eyed Papa collided soon after the start. Lizzy Starlight checked off Black Hooligan approaching the first turn. Uncle More and Where's Wallace collided approaching the first turn. Black Eyed Papa and Uncle More collided on the home turn.

Uncle More was vetted following an incident in the catching pen. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor graze to the neck; no stand down period was imposed

Black Eyed Papa was vetted following an incident in the catching pen. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Alotta Luck was slow to begin. Yabba Dabba Dee and Gambo Girl collided soon after the start. Yabba Dabba Dee and Gambo Girl collided approaching the first turn checking Tabba Dabba Dee. Gambo Girl, April Gem and Quiver Bale collided on the first turn checking Quiver Bale which raced wide. Tyra Giselle and Alotta Luck collided on the first turn checking Tyra Giselle. April Gem and Alotta Luck collided entering the back straight checking Alotta Luck and Quiver Bale. Alotta Luck checked off April Gem on the home turn.

One Kay was slow to begin. Kruzin' Brute was slow to begin. Ontario Lady and Josee collided soon after the start checking Ontario Lady. Knockin' Milo, Spirit To Excel, Ontario Lady and Josee collided approaching the first turn checking Ontario Lady and Josee. Spirit To Excel checked off Proven Looper on the first turn. One Kay and Josee collided on the home turn checking Josee.

Ontario Lady was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Darbain Dasher, Sonic Petite, Storm Red and Arejay Smokey were quick to begin. Storm Red and Arejay Smokey collided approaching the first turn checking Storm Red, Mishellma Belle and Lites And Sirens. Grifter Bale and Mishellma Belle raced wide on the first turn. Sonic Petite and Mishellma Belle raced wide in the front straight. Sonic Petite crossed to the rail approaching the third turn checking Grifter Bale which raced wide. Mishellma Belle raced wide on the third turn and again in the home straight.

A sample was taken from Arejay Smokey the winner of the event.

Precious Pink, Cool Mikado, Brooklyn Snow, Timeless Diamond and Peggie collided on the first turn checking Timeless Diamond and Precious Pink. Dewana Lass and Cool Mikado collided on the first turn. Peggie and Precious Pink collided entering the back straight checking Precious Pink. Dewana Lass and Brooklyn Snow collided approaching the home turn checking Brooklyn Snow and Fanciful Moments.

A pre race sample was taken from Go Zeppa placed 3rd in the event.

Zephyr Zap was quick to begin. Concealed, Why Not Marie and Tornado Angel collided soon after the start checking Concealed and Why Not Marie. Big Bad Roy and Hatari Star collided approaching the first turn.

It's Manic and Tequila Sun were quick to begin. Northern Emma and Usain Burst were slow to begin. Akina Wally and Kiwi Devil collided soon after the start severely checking Akina Wally. Arvo's Rocco and Usain Burst collided on the home turn. Akina Wally and Northern Emma collided on the home turn.

Dewana Hit Man and Midnight Reign were slow to begin. Lamb Shank and Miss Geeves collided soon after the start severely checking Miss Geeves. Midnight Reign and Miss Geeves collided approaching the first turn. Ima Banana and Paua To Excite collided on the first turn. Feen Dish checked off Lamb Shank on the home turn. Midnight Reign and Miss Geeves collided on the home turn. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Jeff Hunt trialled over the 311metres from box 1, weight 32.7kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 17.62, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 7 lengths. Jeff Hunt was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Spin The Top trialled over the 311 metres from box 6, weight 32.9kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 17.62, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 3.50 lengths. Spin The Top was cleared.
