Steward's Report
Paris Sparks was quick to begin. Bekim Hatrick and Hurricane Isaac collided approaching the first turn, checking Bekim Hatrick. Wilma Bale eased on the first turn and lost ground. Wilma Bale and Fantasizzing collided several times from the third turn to the fourth turn. Bekim Hatrick checked off Paris Sparks on the fourth turn.
Fantasizzing was vetted and re-vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left and right sortorius and right fore second digit nail bed. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr R Camilleri , the handler of the greyhound Wilma Bale. Wilma Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle and left hind. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Wilma Bale with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
