Steward's Report
Tweak, Cairnlea Peter and Lektra Stroke were slow to begin. Why Not Donna, Cairnlea Peter, Terrorizer and Grubby collided soon after the start. Stealthy Dancer and Grubby collided approaching the first turn. Stealthy Dancer and Terrorizer collided on the first turn. Tweak, Cairnlea Peter and Grubby collided on the first turn, checking Cairnlea Peter, Grubby and Why Not Donna. Stealthy Dancer and Terrorizer collided approaching the second turn. Cairnlea Peter and Grubby collided approaching the second turn, checking Grubby and Why Not Donna. Stealthy Dancer and Terrorizer collided in the back straight. Tweak and Stealthy Dancer collided on the third turn, checking Stealthy Dancer which stumbled and lost ground, checking Cairnlea Peter. Stealthy Dancer and Grubby collided approaching the home turn. Tweak crossed out in the home straight and collided with Lektra Stroke.
Tweak was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left metarcarpal. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr T O'Donovan, the trainer of the greyhound Tweak regarding it's racing manners in the home straight and approaching the winning post. After consulting the Veterinary Surgeon in relation to the greyhound's injuries, Stewards took no further action.
