Pilbara Gold was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Zipping Casper was slow to begin. Hankos, Dr. Portia and Zealot Bale collided soon after the start checking Dr. Portia and Zealot Bale. Dr. Portia, Zealot Bale and Emma Belle collided approaching the first turn checking Dr. Portia and Zealot Bale. Dr. Portia and Emma Belle collided approaching the second turn. Zealot Bale raced wide entering the back straight. Pilbara Gold raced wide in the back straight.
Zealot Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to it's left shoulder and left triceps. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
