Yoko and Night Keeper were slow to begin. Arengo and Noddy Holder collided soon after the start. Bomber Title, Arisia Bale and Shanlyn Lucy collided approaching the first turn. Arengo, Noddy Holder, Bomber Title, Arisia Bale, Shanlyn Lucy and Brellie Lee collided on the first turn checking Noddy Holder, Arisia Bale, Shanlyn Lucy and Brellie Lee; Shanlyn Lucy became unbalanced as a result. Bomber Title and Night Keeper collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds. Arengo checked off Night Keeper entering the back straight. Noddy Holder and Night Keeper collided on the third turn.
