Steward's Report
Maximum Trina and Mighty Matilda soon after the start. My Attitude and Inter Lana collided on the first turn checking Mighty Matilda. Inter Lana and Done Time collided approaching the home turn. Maximum Trina galloped on Done Time approaching the home turn. Airly Spence turned its head outwards entering the home straight. My Attitude and Airly Spence collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.
Maximum Trina underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right tarsal sprain. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Airly Spence underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. Lesley Russell, the representative of Airly Spence regarding the greyhound’s racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69A(1) Airly Spence was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs. Russell pleaded guilty to the charge, Airly Spence was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 69A(2)(a) and pursuant to GAR 72, before any future nomination will be accepted.
