Aston Mireya was quick to begin.
Taiepa crossed towards the rail soon after the start checking Departure Gate, Mepunga Knight, Another Easy, Blazing Anna and Justify. Another Easy and Departure Gate collided on the first turn checking Another Easy.
A post-race sample was taken from Mepunga Knight - the winner of the event.
Blazing Anna underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
