Steward's Report
Weblec Rebel - Late scratching at 5.58pm on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian (GAR 37) due to left foreleg toe injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Nino's Girl and Tokyo Bird collided soon after the start. Jachar, Nine Wine Wine, To The Riots and Light The Way collided soon after the start checking Jachar and Light The Way severely checking Nine Wine Wine and To The Riots. Jachar and Light The Way collided on the first turn. Tokyo Bird and Aston Samara collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. Tokyo Bird marred Aston Samara entering the home straight and again in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

To The Riots underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Nine Wine Wine underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an abrasion to the right foreleg foot. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Tokyo Bird underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Representative Mr J Willoughby regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Tokyo Bird was charged with marring. Mr Willoughby pleaded guilty to the charge, Tokyo Bird is suspended for 28 days at Geelong and must perform a Satisfactory Trial, pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
